- TVS updates its family-focused Jupiter 125 with two fresh color options.
- The new Ivory Matte Copper Bronze and Ivory Elite Green shades are exclusive to the mid-spec DT SXC trim.
- Mechanical specifications and the features list remain completely identical to the existing model.
TVS Motor Company has rolled out a subtle cosmetic refresh for its popular 125cc commuter scooter, the Jupiter 125. In a bid to keep the line-up looking contemporary and appealing against fierce rivals like the Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125, the Hosur-based manufacturer has introduced two new colour schemes. This update specifically targets the mid-tier DT SXC variant, giving buyers looking for a premium visual flair a few more reasons to consider this over the entry-level options.

What’s interesting here is that while TVS officially lists these as dual-tone options, they actually look more like a cleverly executed tri-tone layout in the flesh. The two new shades—Ivory Matte Copper Bronze and Ivory Elite Green—are applied prominently across the front fender, front apron, headlamp cowl, and side panels. However, TVS has retained a neat ivory finish for the surrounding body surfaces, which contrasts beautifully with a dark brown seat and a light brown finish around the floorboard area.
If you ask me, the Ivory Matte Copper Bronze is the pick of the lot if you prefer an understated, earthy elegance that perfectly aligns with the scooter’s mature, family-oriented character. On the flip side, the Ivory Elite Green brings a slightly perkier, more youthful vibe to the table without appearing overly loud or shouty—a balance that is often hard to strike in this segment.

Beyond the aesthetic shake-up, everything else on the scooter remains entirely unchanged. The Jupiter 125 continues to draw power from the reliable 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired with TVS’s patented iGO Assist technology.
This motor pushes out roughly 8.5bhp and 11.1Nm of peak torque, which is more than adequate for slicing through chaotic city traffic. The mild-hybrid assist ensures that low-end acceleration feels slightly crisper while keeping the overall fuel efficiency figures commendably frugal.
Practicality has always been the strongest selling point for the Jupiter 125, and thankfully, that package is left untouched. You still get the massive, class-leading 33-litre under-seat storage compartment that can easily swallow two half-face helmets, alongside the immensely convenient front-mounted fuel filler cap and a handy 2-litre glove box equipped with a USB charging port.

In terms of pricing, the new color variants don’t command any extra premium over the existing DT SXC palette. The TVS Jupiter 125 DT SXC variant is priced at Rs 86,750 (ex-showroom). For context, the base Drum-Alloy variant kicks off the range at Rs 78,700, while the mid-spec Disc version sits at Rs 83,900.
If you want the absolute top-of-the-line experience, the SmartXonnect variant will set you back by Rs 89,060, though that trim sticks to a more conventional single-tone finish and a standard black seat. Personally, I feel the DT SXC variant with these new shades actually looks far more premium and expensive than its costlier connected sibling, making it a highly attractive value proposition.
